Find my partsModel and duty class
The F-150 is the light-duty full-size truck. Super Duty trucks (F-250, F-350, F-450) are a separate platform with different frames, suspensions, brakes, and body panels — many parts that look similar are not interchangeable with the F-150. The Ranger is mid-size and the Maverick is a compact unibody pickup; both have their own parts catalogs. Off-road trims such as Raptor and Tremor can also use unique suspension and body pieces.
Engine matters for service parts
Filters, belts, spark plugs, cooling parts, and sensors follow the engine, not the model. A single model year of F-150 may offer several gas engines, a hybrid, and a diesel, depending on the year. Your engine is listed on the window sticker, in the owner's manual, and often on the engine cover; the eighth character of the VIN also encodes it. Put the displacement (like 5.0L or 3.5L) in the finder's engine field.
Cab and bed combinations
Ford uses its own names for cab styles, and bed length depends on the cab:
- Regular Cab — two doors, one row of seats.
- SuperCab — smaller rear doors and a small rear seat.
- SuperCrew / Crew Cab — four full doors.
Running boards, floor liners, and seat covers follow cab style. Tonneau covers, bed liners, and racks follow bed length — commonly described as roughly 5.5, 6.5, or 8 feet on full-size trucks. Measure inside the bed to be sure.
Aluminum bodies and mid-cycle updates
Recent F-150 and Super Duty trucks use aluminum body panels, which affects repair parts and some mounting hardware. Ford also makes mid-cycle refreshes that change grilles, lights, bumpers, and interiors within a generation. If a listing shows a different front end than your truck, it may be for the other half of the generation.
Trim packages and options
Trim (XL, XLT, Lariat, and others) and option packages change things like headlights, mirrors, step bars, and trailer equipment. Note your trim and options in the finder, and check the fitment notes on every listing.
