For work trucks

Prioritize security and durability: a lockable hard tonneau cover or a crossover toolbox, a bed liner to protect the floor, a ladder or utility rack, and good work lighting. Check that a toolbox and a cover can be used together — many can't.

Towing accessories

Start with your truck's tow rating and payload from the owner's manual and door-jamb sticker. Then match the hitch class and receiver size, the ball mount drop or rise to level the trailer, the trailer connector, and a brake controller where your trailer needs one. Towing mirrors help with wide trailers. Never exceed the lowest rating in the chain — truck, hitch, ball, or trailer.

Camping and overlanding

Bed racks, rooftop tents, camper shells, and bed drawer systems turn a pickup into a base camp. These are heavy: add their weight to your payload estimate, and check that a rack works with any cover or shell you plan to use.

Interior accessories

Custom-fit floor liners, seat covers, under-seat storage, and console organizers make daily use easier. Fit depends on cab style, seat layout (bench vs. buckets), and console type, so include them in the finder.

Bed accessories

Beyond covers, consider spray-in or drop-in liners, bed mats, tie-down anchors, cargo dividers, and tailgate assists. Over-rail liners can interfere with some covers; note what's already installed.
